The final weeks and exam day

All approachesFree preview
Goal: After this lesson you can plan your final four weeks, pace yourself during the exam, and stay calm when questions feel hard.

1The situation

Knowing enough isn't enough

One candidate knew the material well. In his mock exam he ran out of time with 25 questions unanswered: he had spent eight minutes on a few long case-study questions early on.

Another candidate panicked after five hard questions in a row and started second-guessing everything.

Pacing and calm are skills. You can practise them, just like earned value.

2The last four weeks

Move from learning to performing: full-length timed mocks, thorough review of mistakes, and the mindset rules.

Mocks
Timed
At least two full-length exams under real conditions.
Review
Every mistake
Why was the right answer right? Which rule? Which trap?
Rest
Last days
No new topics; sleep and confidence.
A mock exam is only useful if you review every wrong (and lucky) answer afterwards.
