PMP exam resources
The official PMI pages every PMP candidate needs, in one place, explained in simple English. Links checked: October 2026. PMI changes its pages and prices often, so always confirm on PMI.org.
PMCLEAR is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by PMI. We link to PMI because the official rules and materials come from PMI. PMCLEAR does not provide the 35 hours of training that the application requires.
1. Can I apply? (eligibility)
You need one education-and-experience combination, counted from projects you managed in the last 10 years:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) + 5 years of experience managing projects
- Associate's degree or vocational diploma + 4 years
- Bachelor's degree or higher + 3 years
- Degree from a PMI GAC-accredited program + 2 years
Plus 35 hours of project management training (or an active CAPM® certification). From 1 December 2026, live instructor-led classes count only from a PMI Authorized Training Partner, a China REP or an eligible accredited program; PMI's own self-paced course also counts.

2. Know what the exam tests

- PMBOK® Guide, Eighth Edition: PMI's reference guide. It is a reference, not a course; the exam is based on the ECO. PMI: PMBOK Guide
- PMI Code of Ethics: helps with judgment questions (honesty, responsibility, respect, fairness). PMI: Ethics guidelines
3. Official PMI study materials

Where PMCLEAR fits
Use PMI's materials for the official content and a full simulation. Use PMCLEAR for the part most courses skip if English is not your first language: the English of the question. Study tips that work
- Make a plan with dates: content first, then timed practice, then full-length exams. Book the exam when your practice scores are steady.
- Practice with questions written for the current exam (July 2026 outline). Old material may test the wrong things.
- Read the last sentence of each question first: it tells you what is asked.
- Review every mistake, not only your score. Mistakes show you what to study next.
- Read recent reviews and try free samples before you pay for any course.
